About Nick

Nick Bonsanto is a longtime Sports Radio personality, having worked                                                         in the radio industry for over 40 years. His roots in the sports radio                                                           industry run deep, and his high energy, fun and informative style                                                               make him a sports radio favorite throughout America.

Nick was born and raised in New Jersey, just outside of Philadelphia,                                                         and started working fulltime in the radio industry as an 18-year-old                                                           disc jockey at WJJZ in Mount Holly. From there he went on                                                                            to WTTM in the state’s capital of Trenton where he had the first                                                                   fulltime sports show in the market. He was also the Program                                                                       Director and GM of WVSJ in New Jersey/Philadelphia, launching                                                                   their all-talk format in the early 90’s. Nick was also heard on several                                                           stations in the Atlantic City area, as well.

As Nick’s sports broadcasting career took off, he was the voice of Rider University Basketball for several years, including a few that included trips to the NCAA MBB Tournament. He also handled play-by-play for two College Baseball World Series Regionals. Nick was the voice of Trenton State College Football for a season, and he also called several state MBB Championships for Pennsylvania and New Jersey. In the early 90’s, you could find Nick on the Phillies’ and Eagles’ beats as well and at times could be heard working for the Sports Leader in Philadelphia, WIP.

Nick decided to move his talents to the CFB-crazed South and became Program Director and Afternoon Drive Sports Talk Host of ESPN 105.1 in Chattanooga. While there, Nick was also a part of the CBS affiliate, WDEF-TV,  producing daily sports editorials for the station. Nick was also the voice of the High School Game of the Week in the Chattanooga area for several years.

Nick then decided to take the “Nick Bonsanto Show” national when he teamed up with Sports Byline to broadcast his show five days a week, from 3-6 pm on the Fabulous Las Vegas strip, live from the Luxor Hotel Casino for several years. Nick’s show was heard on many stations across America and on the American Forces Network.
